Mortlach 15 Year (Game of Thrones Six Kingdoms)
Single Malt — Scotland

Not like the other Mortlachs I've had which have often been very meaty, sulphuric beasts. This is much lighter, almost soapy note. If anyone gave it to me I wouldn't have picked it as Mortlach for the life of me. Very nice light and uncomplicated...right now onto the grand finale!

@Jan-Kaselitz if you’re in UK/EU, look at https://www.lochfynewhiskies.com. In the US, it’s scattered...but I’ve seen the same discount for all except the Lag and Talisker
@PBMichiganWolverine where did you find these discounted editions?
@PBMichiganWolverine That does not surprise me! I've only really enjoyed the Laga and that's not even worth the price
Those GoT bottles are now at 40-50% discount.
@LeeEvolved I swore when I drank it you'd mixed up the samples as it was night and day to any other Mortlach I had. I was just to nice and pleasant...which is the complete opposite of a dirty meaty Mortlach. Judging by your labeling (apologies for mine as @cascode will confirm I'm a laaazy labeller and packer) you were to much of a meticulous bottler so that thought left my head promptly and I thought no move to hypothesis no. 2..it's a mass market GOT dram so they bottled a mellow version. I will be excited to share the 1971 bottling with you to hopefully give you the full Mortlach experience ( if age hasn't mellowed it to much :-)
Yes, this is another bastard dram from the money-grabbers at Diageo. While I haven’t had much Mortlach, this dram doesn’t inspire me to spend more on them- even despite lots of positive reviews of some of their other offerings. They are so very expensive here in the USA to begin with. This bottle is nowhere close to being worth $150US. Maybe half that, tops. Nice age statement or not. Just my $0.02.
