Nose is great, vanilla, smoke, salty sweetness. On the palate, initially I was a bit let down from how sweet it was on the nose. But the longer it’s sat in my glass the better it’s gotten. Huge smoke and spice hit. Spicier than it is Smokey though which sort of softens the sweetness of the vanilla. The finish is what this dram is all about! Very long lingering spice, salty and still the hint of sweetness that you long in a whisky. It’s a delightful sipper as that Smokey spice just keeps about the mouth long after the liquid has been downed.
