This isn't a review for this particular bottle, but rather a five star rating for the individuals who helped turn me onto this bottle. This isn't available in the US, and getting anybody to ship liquor to Texas is next to impossible (Whisky Exchange and Master of Malt won't do it), so thank you to whomever turned me onto Fine Drams (it was either @jonwilkinson7309 or @dhsilv2 ), and bless you and your loved ones.
After reading glowing reviews on this one from @Generously_Paul, @LeeEvolved , and @Telex, I had to get this to round out the GlenDronach core age-statement range. Review forthcoming, but just sticking my nose in the bottle shows a very different GlenDronach indeed. Characteristic GD spice, but enveloped in bourbon flavors of caramel and vanilla. Very excited to further explore this one.

@WhiskeyLonghorn Ah nice to hear as I have a sample of that tucked away. Should try them side by side one day but really loath to open the bottle! Can't believe they went for $60 USD before they ran out.. the new batches are $90.
@Soba45 you lucky duck you! I may never get to try the old 15, but the new 15 did just win best in show whisky at the San Francisco Spirits Competition. Cheers!

Nice review / Tribute. I managed to get my hands on an old 15 year GD bottling today from a friend. I needed to swap an old 18 GD, and various partially full other whiskies bottles, gins and ancient armangnac samples...but now my precious is back safe in my whiskey cabinet...just need an old 12 to complete the Billy Walker core tribute range :-)
A great single malt, especially when you consider the price!
It’s definitely one of the most underrated drams I have ever tasted.
