Nose is smoky firework remnants. Fusel ethanol burn, gasoline but also a medicinal plastic. Just a hint of royal blue ink from a ball-point pen.
Taste is Cigarette ash, cigar box, sandalwood, all the finest woods and spent tobacco. Cinnamon and clove on the back end, spicy. It contains the Platonic ideal of what peat should be.
The finish is the taste you get in your mouth after the grand finale on the Fourth of July. (We will someday tell kids what that was.) The whole operation is just a muddy, smoky mess and I am loving every damn sip of it.
