More alcohol will almost always be more flavor. This one is no exception to that rule, making this beauty one of the finest bourbons out there. 100% proof (50%abv), tawny color. On the nose it is lovely: Banana and vanilla but in a super pleasant way, so beautiful aroma. Refined bourbon. There is some fresh prunes in there too. A sweet vanilla plant/herbal note also. Some grape juice. This is what bourbon is suppoused to smell. Chocolate developing after the first sip, thick chocolate pudding. After more minutes some burnt caramel that has freeze. Also Beautiful on the palate. Really delicious. Very complex, one of the most complex bourbons out there. Starts sweet with toffee notes, bitter but pleasant tobbacco notes, ashy, smoky a little before hitting you with a long powerful aftertaste peppery and ashy spicyness. Amazing really. Overall this one deserves 94 over 100 and you should definitively buy this. I have really enjoyed it. For 50%abv it is not difficult to drink neat at all! Cheers!
