This is a wheated bourbon, so the sweetness makes itself known on arrival. Brown sugar developing into vanilla, then hints of butterscotch. The oak doesn't make an appearance until the second sip, and it slowly gains traction from a malt-like mid-palate to a dry finish. Subsequent nosing reflects the initial palate. Adding water rounds out the sweetness, reminding me of vanilla ice cream. This is when I start smacking my lips to accommodate and enjoy the finish. Good work.

Thank you, Sirs, for the warm welcome.
Great review - keep 'em coming! :)
@DigitalCork well in any instance, we’re glad you’re here. Lots of good folks here with good advice and even better opinions!
No, been visiting the site for the past year. It's motivated me to start writing tasting notes for myself. As a newcomer to bourbon, I've been finding this site extremely useful. I just opened a profile to help fend off cabin fever during the lockdown!
@DigitalCork are you new to Distiller?
A big thanks for noting that - especially when it's coming from a drinker with top shelf experience like you. I started collecting scotch a couple of years back, and more recently, bourbons. The palate has been getting a good go-around where bourbon tastes are concerned.
Thanks for the follow. Great looking collection you have!
