I truly believe this is not a bad whisky for its price. The score might make you think otherwise but here in Ecuador is only $7, so the competition against other cheap whiskies is good for them since it is not a bad dram compared to others.
Bottled at 40%abv
On the nose: Lemon, Vanilla, Dry cake, Alcohol note, Prunes ,Lots of cream.
On the palate: Creamy very creamy, lots of grain whisky. Oak burn, vanilla and oak.
Finish short. A little burn with a clove finish.
Overall i give this one a 57 over 100.

@Jos-Mass-Espinel OK - I thought it was probably like that. My scoring is quite different. It's all very subjective and one scale is no better than another, but I feel like mine translates my subjective impression to an objective score accurately. In the case of this blend I rated it as 1, but on my scale that equals 60/100 and so very close to your 57/100.
@cascode hi! my score system has been evolving since i began rating. i use a 100 points score for whisky, and that gives me the accuracy that i need; but when turning it to a 1-5 stars system, it is a little like this: 1: 20 to 29 points, 1.5 is 30 to 39 points, 2 is 40 to 49, and so on. problem is that a 4.0 stars might be anywhere from 80 to 89 and that is a HUGE difference. if you see this review, it has 2.5 but i end saying the whisky is a 57 over 100. cheers
Hi - just curious - does 2.5 equal around 50/100 in your scoring system? I've noticed that your ratings seem consistently higher than I would typically give, but I'm wondering if that is due to how your system works. For what it's worth, for me 2.5 is equal to a score of 77-79/100 (I use the same system as Serge Valentin). Not criticizing - there are folks here who do the opposite and give what look like very low scores but it's just the way their personal system works.
