The most interesting thing about this whisky is the official review. Thijs Klaverstijn is a master at dissecting and describing whisky. Their description word for word sums up my experience and end result. Hard pass. But I will google more on Thijs a man to know more about I think...

@PBMichiganWolverine Ah nice. I have had the 25 but don't think it was this one. My single malt Brora experience was no where near the 30 year mark (the Johnny Walker Blue experience maybe the closest I got to older stock..who knows!)
Lagavulin 25
@Soba45 i took a look at @Thijs-Klaverstijn ‘s top10 too...I have 2 of those: Brora 30 and
@WhiskeyLonghorn I looked at his top 10.. doesn't look like I'd be getting hold of any of them!
@Rick_M I was planning something very simple and understated..although I feel slightly under pressure now to up my game..haha :-)
@WhiskeyLonghorn yeah, I totally agree...he’s the most critical, but I prefer that approach than giving everything 90+. It really grabs my attention when he scores 90+. Dave Broom was the only other one I paid attention to, not many in the 90+ from him as well
@Soba45 - man, I can’t wait to see the next one. 🙂
He does seem to be the most critical of the Distiller staff. He reminds me of Ralfy. He doesn’t hand out the 90+ ratings lightly but when he does, it’s likely something worth your attention.
