Flaviar sample: ok, I had this right after Balcones single malt and I get the same unusual note on the nose: banana/pear. Nose is pepper and Balcones banana/pear. Palate is significantly better: pepper, tobacco, lots of spice, wood. My favorite Balcones product so far.
