When i first bought this dram, it was my first dip into peat whiskey, needless to say my first sniff reminded me of smelly wet socks! lol Fast forward to this tasting, I’ve gone through a few different bottles, including Dalwhinnie 15 which by the way is very pleasing. Back to the Highland Park, i must say not much peat at all. Sweet in fact, honey mid palette, black pepper down the back and just disappears, any whiff of smoke is extinguished quickly
