It’s not very complex, but what is there is amazing. This is one of my favorite bourbons. It’s definitely sweet. Nose: Toasted Marshmallows, oak, and caramel. Palate: Like maple syrup and pancakes with a little butter. It's sweet and shows a lot of caramel. Finish: Medium with sweet and tannin from the oak. Awesome! Mouthfeel: Slightly astringent but not thin. The astringency feels like it comes from the extra barrel and I don't know if it's avoidable if you want the flavors that this delivers.
