Tequila Añejo — Los Altos, Jalisco, Mexico

Neat. Nose is delicious. Burnt sugar, vanilla, cocoa butter, with green herbs, a hint of oak, and ethanol to balance. Taste is sweet agave, caramel, burnt sugar, milk chocolate, vanilla, anise, candied orange peel, pepper. Not much oak and smoke.
Finish is easy and pleasant. Vanilla, saccharine, balanced with lightly bitter grassy herbs
Overall, a balanced, pretty sipper. It lacks the intensity of many additive heavy anejos. This still shares many of those dessert flavors, but allows some more delicate complexity. Wouldn't recommend as a mixer as the flavors would be lost. Value is fair
