I like this less the second time that I taste it neat. I do love the nose though... I get a full and buttery, rich oak, a little bit of apple, and a little bit of vanilla. But the taste doesn’t follow through on being interesting. It’s pretty thin to me. The proof feels stronger than what it actually is. I think I’ll drink this on the rocks or in old fashioneds from here on out. Drinking it neat makes me question if I actually Ike bourbon, because everyone talks about how Buffalo Trace is sort of a Quintessential Bourbon taste. Not terrible, but just isn’t what I like. I would prefer Bulliet Bourbon to this.
