Right of the gate you perceive a lightly peated and sweet aromas. As soon as it hits your palate you are astound by the peaty and smokey balance to the point that it makes it difficult to determine which is more predominant. The sweet undertones of spicy vanilla gives it even a little more dimension. The smokey aftertaste definitely prevails, leaving a cigar like aftertaste on you palate. Fantastic whiskey!
