Nose- very mild. Notes of caramel and oak.
Color and Body- Medium dark color. With a light to medium body.
Taste- on the front it comes in somewhat powerful with the full oak and caramel flavor you would expect from a single barrel. On the palate, it mellows out and fruit notes of apricot and pear with a hint of vanilla. The finish is clean and the oak and sweet caramel flavor return.
Finish- very smooth and somewhat spicy that will linger. Little to no burn.
Overall- a fine sipping whiskey and a great single barrel for the price. A great 4 roses whiskey that is much more refined than the yellow label, but not to pretentious to forget its roots. A great whiskey for any occasion.
