Nose: rye, spice, almost bourbony. Oak and vanilla. Reminiscent of the Redbreast Lustau. A little fishy? Pickles or gherkins or something.
Body: smooth at first and then hints of spice.
Palate: vanilla, cinnamon, honey, toffee.
Finish: medium-mouth coat, a little spicy, but otherwise very smooth and round.
More like a super smooth whisky than a gin—fewer botanicals than expected and no overwhelming juniper note.
