I am not a huge fan of high proof bourbons in my journey yet, so this isn’t exactly in my wheelhouse yet.
I like it though. The notes are pretty distinct in this bourbon I feel like. Cinnamon, vanilla, cherry, and rye spice. It’s definitely a pretty complex mouth feel, the follow through is a pretty balanced sweet and spicy.
After drinking this, I’m really interested in buying a bottle of Longbranch, since it’s lower proof, but has the interesting mesquite aspect to it.
For the price, it definitely makes sense why it’s such a popular whiskey.
