Beautifully balanced. Faintly maritime. Light peat and sweet sherry. Caramel, honey, dark fruits, black pepper, olive oil, lightly phenolic at the finish. Raisins, plums, a pleasant sour note. This is a fantastic 12 year old Scotch deserving of a spot in everyone's collection.
