Neat. Nose is naturally sweet and fruity agave, plenty of toasty oak, earthy minerals, citrus juice, and a touch of vanilla. Taste is true to nose. Agave nectar a big punch of oak and spicy black pepper and bark cinnamon. Followed up with some vanilla, caramel, and hints of cocoa, green herbs, anise, mint leaves, and tree nuts. Finish is nice and balanced with a tart sweetness, oak tannins, and herbs that are balanced with some vanilla, caramel and pepper. Mouthfeel is medium and natural
Overall one of the best XAs out there. I'm a big fan of the entire El Tesoro line in the way they are very agave forward and additives are frowned upon. Value is good considering some inferior and better marketing bottles are about $30 more. The regular añejo is the value king, being half price. Consider this the añejo being turned up to 11 and is a big win for a special occasion sip for a true tequila fan
