My first Scotch review (vs American Whiskey) and a recommendation at a restaurant as I wanted to try a Scotch. Really enjoyed this and I realize at some point my whiskey journey will center in Scotland.
Aroma dark dried fruit with sweetness, Cinnamon, pencil erasure, light earthy and with barrel char, brown sugar and a moment of Maple.
Flavor follows many of these same features with dark date, the baking spice, notably cinnamon with plenty of vanilla towards the finish. Honey notes and almost oily mouthful. Very rich and luxurious.
On finish the cinnamon and barrel char created a touch of a fireball flavor.
I'd be surprised if there wasn't a bottle of this in my cabinet in the next 60 days.
