I didn't love this the first time tasting it, but that was when I wasn't super far in to tasting bourbon. I like this alot more than last time! Some of the same tasting and nose notes. The nose smells like cinnamon and a little bit of ethanol, but oddly enough, this time around smelling it, I got a big citrus/almost lemon-y note. This didn't show up too much in the palate. There is notes of orange peel in it, to go along with vanilla, cinnamon spice, and the tiniest bit of caramel. The spice is definitely alot, which is something that I've grown to like more as I try more bourbons. I like the mouth feel as soon as you taste it. It is like an explosion of spice and proof to me initially, but then it goes away pretty quick, which I'm okay with, makes it an easy drinker. It goes well in an old fashioned, with the orange peel note as well as cinnamon. Definitely worth buying a bottle some time.
