Nose: Honey, boiled sweets, light sherry
Palate: Sugared breakfast cereal, spicy (ginger, nutmeg, star anise), tawny port, sherry
Finish: Medium long finish with coffee, dark chocolate, black cherries, black pepper
Overall, this is a nice whisky. It's undemanding and unassuming, quite sherried which on the initial sip has a bit of a kick, but mellows very quickly. It goes down very smoothly, and leaves quite a pleasant, slightly sour, chocolate cherry aftertaste.
