84 rating is kinda low balling this easy sipper. It's not forward on any flavor in the spectrum, but there is a wave of baking spices, vanilla oak and some funk. This can easily be a go to all summer and would be an easy sell for the rum and coke drinker. Appleton Estate definitely scratches the itch when one wants rum. Nonetheless, when the bottle goes quick that usually means one thing. It's good.
