The first thing you notice is the colour, it’s a pink whisky! Most unusual to look at and gives a strange anticipation on what it might taste like.
Nose: Port, fortified wine, cranberries. Very sweet.
Palate: After such a promising start, this is where it starts to go wrong. The first sip is just alcohol. Spicy, coriander, washing up liquid. Still very sweet, port and sherry, boiled sweets, chillies.
Finish: Bitter, chillies and spice.green apple.
Overall, this is a very alcohol heavy, fruity dram. It has a sweet almost sickly port taste and a very short finish. Not one for me at all.
