It has a fairly strong nose. It has an alcohol burn and otherwise smells light with pine and a dash of earth. The palate is actually pretty interesting and decent. It's earthy and bitter with even a bit of a cocoa taste. It's dry and herbal with the pine and also something else coming in. It's quite peppery. A bit harsh too, but the pepper is a clear flavor that is pretty nice. There's a twist of lemon in it too. It's fairly rich with a nice savory (but not meaty) earthiness to it. I actually rather enjoy this. It's not amazing, but it's better than Dover. There's just a touch of sweetness. The alcohol is still a bit much of course, but this is a surprisingly good gin. I'm eventually getting a little bit of floral flavor too. It's more savory and less citric than Beefeater with less harshness as well. Between the two, I think I'll take this. Yeah, it's a solid gin. What more do you want from me here?
