This is real good stuff but that sherry finish......oh man dont get me started
@ContemplativeFox i propose a side-by-side ☺️ A pack of SunMaids from my local Trader Joe’s up against one from Karachi, London, Mumbai or Tehran ☺️
@PBMichiganWolverine I think sultanas are technically the same as golden raisins. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sultana_(grape)#Raisins I would be interested to try some from the Middle East sometime since what we have here might not have the same flavor profile.
Sultanas are pretty common in the UK. Sultana Bran >> Raisin Bran.
@WhiskeyLonghorn I always see sultanas by reviewers too...and unless you’re in India, Turkey or Iran, it’s pretty difficult to get. Wondering how many folks really had sultanas...I never have, but I guess it must taste like sherried whiskey...
@PBMichiganWolverine the more you know!
@WhiskeyLonghorn sultanas are the juicy white oval grapes from Turkey, India, Iran. The raisins of this are small and sweet, and golden.
Thanks for the review. Been thinking about this one after a delightful bottle of the sherry cask. I’m curious how you would describe the difference between raisins and sultanas. I see this notes all the time and assumed they were interchangeable, but perhaps I’m mistaken.
