The 14yr was solid so gave this a go. Poured neat, noses uncooked pasta with some malt hints along with the fresh air after a heavy rain. Fruit is restrained imo save for some banana peel. Palate is tangy apple tinted rich malt with barrel and pepper spice. It tastes younger than 10 yrs with youthful sharpness. Perhaps some of the casks are a little tired. Hell I know I usually am. Despite this flavor is deep and I am enjoying. Finishes with lasting malty barrel and light tropical fruit. Fairly long without bitterness. Not a world beater but this one grows on you.....84/100 ...........wait a minute, give this bottle a bit of time and it comes in nicely. Approaches Deanston territory which for me is a big compliment. Has a nice thickness to it and just an overall goodness that elevates score to near A rating of 88...........see note..90/100

Okay I shortchanged this 10 yr single malt with my initial review but bumped it as I went through bottle. Another couple years and we have at last cleared the pandamic it seems. I bought the rebranded Arran 10 for a revisit and couldnt be happier with my decision. This is a high quality distillery and the 10 yr is excellent for price. I would add to my notes orchard fruit influence is ramped up but at the end of the day you just need to buy this..... Bumping score to vaunted 4 star....90/100......EASY purchase
Thanks @Slainte-Mhath the bottles ive had of 10 and 14 were both pre rebrand but i would guess just marketing for the change
@Ctrexman Nice review. I really like Arran 10 and 14, but it's been a while since I last tasted them. I've notived they rebranded their core range yet again. Why?
