Nose has lots of oak, butter pecan, vanilla, pipe tobacco, and charred cinnamon stick. Buttery mouthfeel. Palate has intense spicy oak, butterscotch, peanut brittle, hints of anise and black pepper. Finish is long, hot and dry, dominated by the lingering bitterness of oak tannins, some cinnamon and peppery spice, and a salty note like focaccia bread.
