Have liked all the Belle Meades ive had with the Sherry cask being amazing. This is more of a straight shooter. Follows the standard release with a solid bump in intensity. This mgp juice is thoroughly enjoyable. Singed pie crust with melted buttery caramel dominate the nose and palate. Toasted oak , cinnamon and baking spice round it out with a strong dose of rye. Finish is long and rich with more spicy cinnamon, butter and dry oak. Its pretty direct bourbon and pretty damn delicious. Proof is easy to handle and the flavors are deep. Ok its not super complex and does not make you question the universe. It is AC/DC like with tremendous power and likeability despite being somewhat simplistic. Great example of quality sourced product. Its a wonderful pour and I recommend.....90/100

Nice review, I’ve been wanting to try this for some time now as I’m a huge fan of belle Meade myself

Yes gentlemen this is real good. Not the upper crust bourbons but a strong near elite like a Scottie Pippen to MJ
Damn this sounds great for $56. I've only seen regular Belle Meade in NC and it's $50
I’ve been waiting for your review of this one ;). Sounds tasty! MGP does get a lot of hate but I notice that a lot of these startups either age it longer, finish it in something, or bottle it at cask strength to help their own brand stand out among the sea of sourced product. The folks at Belle Meade are doing some of the best (and largely unnoticed) work IMO.
MGP-sourced whiskey in particular tends to get a lot of hate. Belle Meade always makes me happy because it's so well-liked anyway :)
