Ok so I have had my eye on this for quite a while. I read somewhere it has a high barley % in the mashbill and as a scotch lover thought this might be interesting. Came across an opened bottle from a coworker clearing out some shelf space. I always figured it would be subpar but what the hell free whiskey always tastes better. Poured neat the nose is dusty old books, light caramel and whispy smoke. Palate has watery sweetness and gentle smoke along with young wood. Like a year or two in barrel with thin weak flavor transitioning to a slightly sour oak finish with trailing grainy notes. It is not good bourbon however I dont completely hate it. I think the barley and young oak unite to make a different profile I can appreciate...a bit. Certainly not a recommended bourbon but if someone is offering a sample why not....64/100...barely acceptable. Dont buy it but drink it if offered still crushes putrid Canadian whisky

@Ctrexman Trader Joes could get away with nurse if they wanted. That said, I’ve found Blantons on their shelves before so I’ll call it even for now.
@Bourbon_Obsessed_Lexington and they have the balls to charge $30, Old Crow is better for under$10
Furthermore, I agree that this is watered down with horse piss and the word Lexington slapped on it. I suppose someone deserves credit for gathering up that much fluid.
I can’t stop laughing at “still crushes putrid Canadian whisky." A friend brought an unnamed bottle of watery Canadian rye over once and left it. I feel like if I left it off the road in plain sight in KY someone might shoot it and utter the same phrase faith furrowed brow.
