Honey oak and spiced pears stand out on the nose, with just a faint hint of smoke. Transfers well to the palate which is more of the same - not overpowering, mild spice, and a very minimal peat finish. A couple drops of water really open up the oak without muting the other flavors.
A good, well-balanced 10 year, and an excellent entry level peat.
