@icsteel154 Sounds fun!
@ContemplativeFox there are a few around the U.K. (and all over Europe). It’s been a lot of fun to do the virtual tastings. Some of my friends have been doing a regular one we organise ourselves. Each of us take it in turns to buy a couple of bottles (or a few miniatures) and split them into measures and send them to the rest of the group. We’ve done it at least once a month since March. It’s a great way of keeping in contact and great fun to try a couple of new drams.
@icsteel154 Sounds like a lot of fun! I could really go for a tasting right now, but I haven't found anybody around here doing them
@ContemplativeFox that’s exactly how they do it. They mail them out (or deliver locally) a few days before the tasting. I’ve done a few with them for whisky, gin, tequila (and a few others) virtually. I’ve done a few other virtual ones since lockdown. I think it would be safe to say the quality varies!
Be interested ot know how they did the virtual tasting. Did they mail out samples to everybody?
