This is not quite up to the 12 yr but still a good malt. Poured neat the nose is honey dipped fruit with a bit of malt and some light barrel. Little thin with twinge of ethanol. Palate has buttery malt and hawaiian punch. There is some bitter oak and cutting alcohol notes. This leads to slightly bitter finish of barrel woods alongside fading malt and fruity bubble gum. Pretty standard highland issue without any peat. Its good but not great. Flavors are not deep but its enough to move the needle. Overall I would go for the 12(the two years makes a difference) but if this crosses your path feel free to partake, you wont regret it....84/100

Agreed. Also, you get the ABV hike to 43% with the 12 whilst the price difference is negligible
Yeah, I'm surprised that a lot of distilleries bother to release a 10 and a 12 when the 12 is substantially better for only slightly more money.
