[Re-Review 120515] - After trying so many sub-par whiskies lately, it was nice going back to a traditional single malt. This 12 year has a simple light profile with a happy pinch of peat smoke that I had been missing ever so much. There's a nice oaky burn that let's you know you're dealing with a speyside, and the finish leaves a little honey for you to remember it by. I don't think this deserves the hate!
