(This is the new 40% version - UGH the 43% was a 4 out of 5 ... lol) ...
Nose – Brown sugar, orange marmalade, marigolds, cereal, malt, and nutmeg.
Palate – Slight smokiness, not peated, Apricots, red apples, Caramel, toffee, milk chocolate, medium mouth coat, tea, ginger and cinnamon.
Finish – Medium length, Vanilla, woodiness, dry leather, but not bitter.
Water – N – Sugars, confection. P - Pepper bomb! White/black, not as dry… F - More chocolate mocha… interesting…

@Telex Dropping the ABV of Glenlivet 18 to 40% was really stupid... but had to be expected.
I've yet to be impressed by a Glenlivet. They cost a fair bit for not much flavor and only 40%
@Jan-Case hi there - it’s still good, but if you had the older one, I do think you’ll be slightly disappointed.
@Telex you had the 18y Heritage bottle with the new Glas printed lable then, I assume? I have that one in the basement unopened because I got it for 60€ locally. I totally didn’t see it having 40% ABV. Dang, at that price I probably wouldn’t have bought it. You still think it is worth opening or is that something to sell/gift away?
