This is sitting by the fire on a nice summers night in a bottle. The nose is a glorious smoke typical of most Islay, however not as strong or overpowering as others. The palate is a delicious smoked meat, with some lovely fruit stuffed on the side, I taste pear & apple. It starts off smooth and light, but comes in heavy as it goes down. Great taste of smoke with little spice. Easy to drink, it’s understandable why this bottle has won awards.
