Nose: starts with brief nutty notes transitioning to baking spices. Rye spices them come through followed by strong molasses and vanilla. Rye comes back at the end to finish the nose. Palate: a burst of vanilla and rye intermingling perfectly with each other through a well-balanced mouthfeel Finish: Smooth for a cask strength with a long, lasting finish. I was not a rye fan initially but wow this is an excellent whisky. It is flavorful, with a just right mix of complexity and smoothness. Can’t recommend enough!
