First time having Glenfiddich 12 in a long time. It's a staple speyside with approachable fruit mostly pear for me, a bit floral, malty and I get a hint of chocolate which apparently no one else does. The oak is mostly towards the end and subtle with a gentle finish. This would be an easy dip into Scotch for a newbie and a nice benchmark for scotch the way Buffalo Trace is for bourbon to me.
