Nose- vanilla, cherry, cloves, and a bit of astringency
Body- Sweet up front with notes of cherry, blackberry, fruit punch, vanilla, and clove. There are some similarities with The Prisoner but this Bardstown rendition is brighter, less jam and less tanic.
Finish- Medium finish with hints of dark chocolate and almond. There are notes there that remind me of an unpeated scotch.
This is very nice. While the Prisoner is still my favorite Bardstown production, this has more depth and interest.
