Nose: very pungent scent and brightness! Floral and sweet, like fresh roses and blackberry. A slight scent of nail polish remover, but the scented kind that isn't so harsh. 1st sip: waiting for the flavor to pop, then after you swallow you get a rush of spice and heat that lingers lightly on the sides and back of the tongue. 2nd sip: oak and spice, fruity and not as floral as the nose was. Fruit is like a pear and a just unripe cherry mixed together. Definitely getting some butterscotch and vanilla. Maybe pudding-like. I also feel like I get a NyQuil flavor as well. Overall, for 25 bucks, this is good stuff. I bet it would go great in an old fashioned but I'd also be happy drinking it neat. I like this more than Buffalo Trace at it's 23 dollar price point. I feel it's a little more complex and interesting, especially with the added heat and the floral fruity mix. I can dig it .
