Color: Great copper color, dark brown, something you'd expect from a barrel proof. Legs are quick forming and spaced evenly.
Nose: the sweet carmel and vanilla are there like most EC's and some sugarcane. some honey and spice also on the nose, maybe leather and/or pepper spices
First Sip: so buttery and yet soft. rolls over the tongue like a soft wave on a smooth beach. all the carmel and sweetness present with a very small amount of spice. much more on the sweet side than spicy.
Taste: viscous and thorough, this one has some gittup to it. can feel the barrel proof but it isn't over the top. honey and carmel sauce dominate throughout the pallet
Finish: ultra smooth for the proof. not a lot of burn on the way down and the pallet is left with the sweet notes through the nose and sinus.
Conclusion: everything you'd expect from a highly rated one of a kind EC BP. i can see why this is so highly rated. Complex and easy to drink. Opened it up with a drop off cool distilled water and it changed to something even more complex. Top 5 on my shelf.
