Hands down one of the best vfm entry level bourbons out there! Rich caramel toffee & vanilla on the nose. Continues on the taste where milk chocolate and a bit of oak spice make an appearance on the palate and finish.
This gets high marks for not giving up anything in taste and quality for such an affordable buy. Case helped by the fact that I picked up couple bottles on sale at Fine Wine & Good Spirits for ~$10 a bottle, while on a project in PA.
If you’re looking for a rich, no fuss, yet satisfying and tasty bourbon, I highly recommend this! Solid 3.5stars. Cheers frendz!
Btw, the regular 90 proof black label iteration is pretty decent as well.

@Anthology Didn't know about the CS version! Went back to PA for the first time in half a decade last year - wishing I'd known to pick up a bottle 😂
@ContemplativeFox If you’re ever in PA, you might still find some on the shelves at FW&GS (state controlled liquor retail). There’s also a CS version released this year that’s readily available nationally.
Been wanting to try this for a while, but tragically have yet to encounter it in the wild.
