Ok, so everyone says Jack Daniels is loaded with banana notes, and now that I'm looking for it, I do pick it up on the nose and a little on the palette. But, it's more like the banana flavoring of a laffy taffy than the bananas I keep in my fruit bowl. It has more than it's fair share of ethanol taste for an 80 proof. I pick up some tea leaves, oak, and a pretty strong char profile. There's a bit of a lingering bitter sweet aftertaste too. This Tennessee whiskey is not offensive but it's a tad harsh and not a regular sipper for me.
