Orange Zest Sassafras, Sarsaparilla, Wintergreen Palate: Bright Citrus-Orange Heaven Hill Peanut Dark Honey Heath Bar Mild Oily Butter coats your mouth Finish: Barrel Char leaves a little Smokiness along with a slight unexpected Sea Brine. Lingering Tannins continue to bring a hot Cinnamon, Black Pepper and Anise This was a really great pour, but the price is inflated. It's a lower proof, but Evan Williams Single Barrel has pretty much all the same high rye mash spice notes. I'd like to do a whiskey war between those two and Evan Williams BiB. I bet the EWs easily hang especially at McKenna's price point.
