George T. Stagg Bourbon (Fall 2019)
Bourbon — Kentucky, USA
Reviewed

Nose - sweet caramel and fried sweet breads dusted in powder sugar, oak and light smoke, baked sweet gala apples.
Taste- all sweet on the tip with caramel and toasted demura sugars as it turns to spices and oak. Warming but not hot. Almost cotton candy in places. Strong vanilla and cherry. Better less bitter cherry than I have ever had.
Mouthfeel is creamy and oily.
Summary - Everything is turned up to 11 on this from nose to taste and nothing offends. I had to make myself slow down to enjoy the long finish because I wanted more instantly. This is as near a perfect bourbon as I have ever had.

@TheWhiskeyNinja Sounds delicious. I can't wait to try this. So far, Stag 2018 is the best bourbon I've ever had.
@Bourbon_Obsessed_Lexington was that (oil after LeMans) + (cherry juice) -> victory + sweet? If so, very clever! If not, probably also very clever, but I don't know enough about racing or even cars in general to have a clue haha!
@TheWhiskeyNinja good grief, a rental 458 sounds like a ticket to jail for me. Also would be the only way I could get close to one though so possibly worth it.
lol That is a perfect analogy and only about 2% of us will get it. I was supposed to be doing a track day in a rental 458 but they cancelled so I am consoling myself with a pour of this. it's working ok so far. @Bourbon_Obsessed_Lexington
I imagine this is what the oil of a 911 RSR a day after LeMans mixed with a barrel of exploding cherry juice would taste like. Just phenomenal.
