Nose:
Punchy but not obtrusive peaty smoke, toffee, vanilla, pineapple, sea air, burnt orange, fresh green apple, pickled ginger.
Palate:
Full and slightly oily mouthfeel, peat, band aids, caramel, white pepper, sea salt, seaweed.
Finish:
Medium peaty smoke, lingering white pepper, campfire, tobacco, tar, brine, vanilla remnants, satisfying chest warming.
In summary, a memorable and very satisfying malt experience, and a great introduction to peated whisky.

Talisker is always a good peated whiskey, but not one that will make first-timers' mouths explode @DanSmith :)
@ContemplativeFox Thanks for the feedback. After buying a bottle of Ardbeg, it confirmed to me that Talisker is an entry level peat whisky, but still one that I enjoy.
@CKarmios No, but I've had pie in (well, from) a tub, so I might have some idea of how hedonistic it is 😂
@ContemplativeFox Have you ever had a full Scottish breakfast in a glass before? 😉
Great point about this been a good intro to peat. It's clearly present, but comparably mild and preserves the complexity of the other flavors.
