Jan-Case
Longrow 18 Year
Single Malt — Campbeltown, Scotland

Nose: pine wood / pine needles, fresh green banana, sweetness, pear and the typical Campeltown foundation. Medium richness. Later soy sauce.
Sweet and intense peat on the palate, cream filled butter croissant, dark whole grain cracker, ramen noodles.
The finish is a bid weird. But insanely interesting. Wow, what an experience. Mind boggling & mind blowing. Insane. Really something else.

Based on this, thought I’d get Longrow Peated at €45, before splashing €135 for the 18
@WhiskeyLonghorn well the Germans tend to be very cautious first but adapt the new normal and fall back I to old habits fast. That means there is hand sanitizer at the always open entrance door and until you are at your seat you have to wear a mask. But yeah there is still a risk for sure. I observe the local COVID development and act accordingly. But it is more a personal choice here for sure. But year prices were very reasonable especially for this kind hip neighborhood he pub was in. It is only 2cl pours though which is 0,7 ounces. Average is around 6€ per 2cl. There was an Caol Ila 28y CS for 14€ but that will have to wait for next time. This is their line up: https://offside-wedding.de/getraenke/whisky/
Three things make me jealous about this post: 1. Longrow 2. Longrow for 8 euros. A pour of that would be a minimum of $20 USD if you’re lucky 3. Being able to go to a bar for said affordable pour because your government didn’t botch the COVID response...
