Here in Ontario, this whisky sells for $90 Canadian. The 16 year old sells for $145 Canadian. Price is the reason I purchased the 8 year old. It's not as rounded and flavorful as the 16, but that is to be expected. Tastewise, it is a delicious dram,with the smoke and fruit balancing each other perfectly. In this case, I believe you get more than you pay for in the 8 year old. The 16 is overpriced and doesn't deliver anywhere near the $55 additional cost. I will buy this again.
