Uncorking- banana, vanilla and spice all a bit low key. Taste- Caramel and mellow oak on the tongue. Finishes sweet and mellow. Less banana than Gentleman Jack with more complexity. Vanilla and caramel are present but background to the brown sugar sweetness and banana. It's balanced with extra hug and spice to realize it's more than a normal JD but in some ways more mellow than JD SB. I don't know if I would say better than Single Barrel but different enough to be worth a try if you like JD SB and see it at retail. If you don't this won't change your mind. I do know there is no world this is worth $100 let alone the $300-400 I saw people selling these on secondary already.

You made the right choice. I don't think it's better than normal SiB JD. I think you would have to have exactly the right taste to make it worthwhile. Which made me realize this was made for Eric Church's taste. HE must be the person buying these at 2nd market pricing. Smart marketing. Makes total sense. I'm pretty smart. :) @ContemplativeFox
I saw this locally for $55 and thought about getting it, but decided to stick with the SiB BP for the same price. Sounds worth retail, but it's hard to imagine anyone paying secondary
