This is a straight down the middle bourbon with simple flavors cranked up to 11 and no surprises. If your a fan of whiskey, the nose is promising, showing strong oak / age / possible complexity notes, however its just a tease. Its more caramel than cherry, but there is some dark red fruit way in the background. Medium finish, but bitter, and inviting for another sip. Not worth the $60 IMO, but its close.
